Over 100 years ago, Mark Twain said something that seems to ring true today. “I’ve found that common sense ain’t so common.” In 2020, we can clearly see that genuine love isn’t very common either. People seem more willing to “hate” than willing to love. Perhaps this is because the world has distanced itself from God who is the source and very definition of love.
One of the great benefits of Jesus is that His love permeates the lives of those who believe and follow Him. As we study 1 John 4:7-21, we will learn how God’s love is made perfect and, ultimately, has the power to change the world.
